If a boat ride sounds more to your liking, climb aboard Maid of the Mist and get right in’ to the wonder that is Niagara. More of an adrenaline rush is felt in the aerocar, a cable car that gives you a bird’s-eye view.

Niagara Garden Trail is a gardener’s delight. The Floral Showhouse, Butterfly Conservatory, Floral Clock and Botanical Gardens are a treat for the senses as well as a lesson in history. Learn about the Floral Clock that changes floral varieties throughout the season, as it has for some 60+ years.

The great outdoors is waiting on Niagara’s Nature Trails. A diverse set of parks, one can go birding in a favorite spot of many migratory birds, have a picnic and enjoy one of the many playgrounds or for the serious hiker, trek along the Niagara River Recreation Trail. This trail is a 58 kilometer (35 mile) paved path for non-motorized traffic, winding along the Canadian side of the Niagara River. Should 58 kilometers be too much, the trail is conveniently set up in 4 segments, to accommodate any level of hiker. Boaters will enjoy the public Niagara Marina. Slips and a boat launch area are available.

Golfers, mix your favorite past time with a great vacation – or make golf the whole vacation. Niagara has several courses, including the Legends of Niagara. Take some strokes off your handicap at the famous Jim McLean Golf School, or experience the Firing Range. Many local hotels offer play and stay packages that give you great deals and a great golfing experience, along with indoor water parks for the kids.
